Privacy policy

Mon Kombi: entraide & conseil app (app.mnkombi.com website and Android apps). Last updated: 17 October 2026. This translation is provided for information; the French version prevails.

Data controller

Audience

Mon Kombi is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data about minors; an account created by a minor is deleted as soon as we become aware of it.

Data collected

Profile: chosen pseudonym, avatar and colour; technical account ID; email address and password (stored hashed) only if you choose to secure your account.
Content: messages posted in groups, reactions, private conversations, questions asked to advisers and their answers, reports and blocks.
In-app activity: groups joined and charters accepted, messages read, settings (language, theme, notifications, quiet hours).
Device: notification token of your phone or browser, if you accept notifications.
Payments (website and Android app installed directly, not the Google Play version): for each paid question, the amount, the method (Airtel Money or Moov Money) and the mobile money number, used for the payment and any refund.

Mon Kombi does not collect photos, videos, audio recordings, location or contacts, and does not store any bank card data. The app shows no advertising and uses neither an advertising ID nor audience measurement tools.

Purposes

Running the service (groups, conversations, questions to advisers, notifications), managing your account, moderating content and protecting members, processing payments and refunds, preventing fraud and abuse. Legal basis: performance of the service you use and our legitimate interest in keeping the community safe.

Who sees your data

Other members see your pseudonym, avatar and messages in the groups you have joined; the person you talk to sees your private messages.
Advisers see your pseudonym and the questions you send them, never your contact details.
The moderation team sees reported content.

We do not sell or rent your data. Our technical providers process it on our behalf, only to run the service:

Supabase: database and account hosting (servers in the European Union, Paris);
Cloudflare: website hosting and anti-bot protection at sign-up;
Google Firebase Cloud Messaging: sending notifications (device token, title and excerpt of the message; no content for discreet groups);
Perplexity AI: translating a group message when a member asks for it, and suggesting a draft reply to an adviser, who reviews it before sending. The text is sent without your pseudonym, and any contact details it contains (phone, email, link) are masked first;
Mobile money payment provider (website and directly installed app): amount, number and reference of the question.

Some of these providers may process data outside your country, in particular in the United States, with contractual data protection safeguards.

Retention

Disappearing messages are deleted when they expire, and each private message 7 days after it was sent. Other data is kept as long as your account exists and permanently deleted when it is deleted. Our host’s technical backups disappear as they are automatically renewed.

Your rights

You can access, export, correct or delete your data directly in the app: Me › Settings and privacy (Export my data, Delete my account). You can also write to contact@mnkombi.com to exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection or restriction; we reply within 30 days. Security

Encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, per-user access control on every piece of data in the database, masking of contact details in messages, reporting and blocking. See also our child safety standards (in French).

If this policy changes significantly, we will let you know in the app. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page.
